Favorite Color: Kelly Green – just like St. Patrick’s Day
Least Favorite Color: Yellow is not the most flattering color with my skin tone. But I do believe any color can be beautiful depending how it’s used – fashion, décor, etc.
Style Description: Depending on my mood - casual, preppy and feminine!
Style Icon: Elin Kling and Miroslava Duma - the kind of women every girl wants to be.
Favorite Designers/Brands: Tibi, J.Crew, Rebecca Taylor, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Saint Laurent!
Least Favorite Designers/Brands: Louis Vuitton has the most beautiful and quality made pieces, however I like so many other designers more. But don’t get me wrong, I would gladly wear LV any day of the week!
Favorite Shoe Style: Pumps and flats.
Least Favorite Shoe Style: The sneaker wedge. Only because I cannot pull it off!
What You Love to Wear: I am always bouncing around, so anything that is functional and can easily transition from day to night. Recently I have been incorporating my new Nike sneakers with a dressed up sweater or blazer.
What You Hate to Wear: Cocktail dresses.
What You are Afraid to Wear: Heels/wedges at the pool or beach. Maybe it’s a Midwest thing!
What is Work Appropriate/Your Typical Workplace Attire: I work from home but I love to show off my playful creative side for client meetings. Bold colors and lots of textures make me feel pulled together without much thought.
Do You Like to Accessorize (Jewelry, Scarves, etc.)? My husband started a tradition of bringing me back a beautiful scarf when he travels to London for work. They are timeless and I plan on wearing them when I am old and wrinkly! I also never leave the house without a pair of studs. Including the gym!
Favorite Stores/Chicago Boutiques: Outside of the usual suspects, I adore the local spots: Classic Remix (they have the best and affordable jewelry!); P.O.S.H. (for random curious and French baby gifts); Magnificent Milestones (the most stylish desk accessories and stationary); DreamDry for blowouts and although not local, my best kept secret is the sale rack at Bloomingdales on the 5th floor.
Items on your Current Shopping List: A new trench, I am loving this pink Tibi one and a bright colored handbag. I am traveling to Nantucket this summer so I have been keeping my eyes open for nautical prints and a new Mara Hoffman bikini. Is it summer yet?
