Threadless to move Headquarters to 401 N. Morgan In Fulton Market’s Innovation District
Chicago, IL (November 10, 2015) hreadless, a global online design community, announced today that they have signed a lease for 15,000 square feet at 401 N. Morgan St. in Fulton Market’s new Innovation District. The move marks the next phase of growth for the company, which has been recognized as one of Chicago’s most dynamic young businesses. “We’re super stoked about this move on multiple levels: implementing the latest technology in ondemand printing rees to consider spaces without the need for a warehouse,” Jake Nickell, CoFounder and CEO said, “and the building and neighborhood have a great vibe. We’ll be in the company of Google and Bucketfeet and surrounded by street art from amazing artists like Brain ller and ROA.”
401 N. Morgan is an 86,000 square foot adaptivereuse building developed by Marc Bushala of MAB Capital Management. The $19M project has been celebrated as a dynamic example of repurposing a manufacturing building into mixeduse development. “The property was seven interconnected buildings occupying an entire square block and had been vacant for years,” said Bushala. “My goal was to convert the space into modern loft offices while keeping the industrial character of the buildings intact. The finished product has a great industrial vibe.”
Threadless completes the 401 N. Morgan roster of tenants, which includes Chicago based shoe design company Bucketfeet, Swedish digital marketing agency Nansen, a 32,000 square foot event venue called “Morgan Manufacturing” and The Brass Monkey Brasserie, bringing the occupancy of the project to 100%.
