Closet Organizational Tips!
Fold Sweaters & Basics
Folding your sweaters saves the life and shape of your sweaters. Folding basics like camis, tees, and tanks saves room in your closet and hanging space!
Hang Clothing by Sleeve Style
Doing this will save you the time of trying to find anything that gets lost! For example, many times sleeveless tops will get mixed in with long sleeves or jackets and can be hard to see. Hang everything from left to right starting with sleeveless, short sleeve, long sleeve, sweaters, and finally jackets. Then hang skirts, pants, and dresses for a more visually pleasing closet making it easier to get dressed!
Sort Shoes by Color & Season
Similar to hanging clothing by sleeve style this also make it easier to finish your look. Section shoes off by season and then color coordinate within that season.
Put Away Lasts Season’s Clothing
If you have a storage space or even space underneath your bed. Purchase plastic or cloth clothing bins to fold last season’s clothing away until it comes around again. This way you will have more space in your closet and everything you currently have in there is wearable right now.
Throw Away Paper & Boxes
Don’t hold onto all of those shoes boxes (unless designer for resale!). These, along with dry cleaner bags, and wire hangers are all visual clutter and distract from the pretty pieces in your wardrobe.
